Who am I?

I’m Kurt F — a Norwegian DJ and producer with a deep love for groove-driven dance music and hands-on mixing. My sound lives in the space between Afro House, Melodic House, and the more uplifting, trance-leaning side of club music — where rhythm, emotion and momentum matter more than tricks.

My journey started in the 90s on Technics 1210MK2 turntables and a DJM-300, learning the craft the old way — by ear, by feel, and by spending hours understanding how records actually move together. That foundation still defines how I approach DJing today, and why I deliberately stay focused on listening rather than watching screens.

In the DJ booth I focus on real technique and musical flow. I practice beatmatching by ear (no sync), build transitions with loops, vinyl-style breaks, EQ work and bass swaps, and use vocals and textures only when they feel natural. For me, DJing is about shaping a journey — tension, release, and those moments where a groove truly locks in.

In the studio I keep the same mindset. I’m constantly refining my sound — clean, energetic and emotional — built for both club systems and headphones. This site is where I share new releases, bootleg remixes, DJ sets, and projects currently in progress.

CDJ-2000 players and DJM-800 mixer — chosen deliberately to stay focused on listening, timing and feel rather than screens and shortcuts.
